What is DIBOOS?

DIBOOS is the Spanish Federation of Associations of Animation and Visual Effects Producers, the entity that represents the animation and VFX sector in Spain.

Their goal is To promote, defend and support the Spanish animation and visual effects content production industry, strengthening its national and international presence. Through its member associations, AEPA and PROANIMATS, DIBOOS represents the main Spanish animation producers.

Spanish animation is a strategic sector within the audiovisual, cultural and creative industry. It generates skilled employment, promotes technological innovation, fosters internationalization and contributes to the creation of audiovisual content with its own identity.

ANIMATION PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR NATHALIE MARTINEZ, FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF DIBOOS

Nathalie Martínez, producer, animation director, and founder of the Valencian studio Wise Blue Studios, has been elected the new President of Diboos. Producer of films such as the animated feature "Animal Crackers" (Netflix, 2020) and director of series like "Hero Dad," distributed in more than 20 countries, and the more recent "MiBots Universe," Martínez now becomes the first woman president of the Spanish Federation of Associations of Animation and Visual Effects Producers (Diboos) in its 17-year history. Martínez succeeds Nico Matji, who had led Diboos since 2019.
